You may be right in that I may be a little paranoid and overprotective. What I see out their scares me, for the sake of my family. I also lock the doors, even during the day. That, unfortunately, is the most prudent thing to do in today's world.

Well I do this also, and don't consider it a particularly paranoid thing to do. But I find kids are dang smart and dang capable. Sometimes I let them bite off even more than they can chew. More often than not, they find ways to chew anyway, and they grow beyond even my expectations.

Fortunately, my kids still experience life; they ride bikes, swim, play with friends, and I don't even make them wear bubblewrap. Maybe if there weren't the guns out there, that would be one less thing to worry about.

Seriously friend, guns are not your problem. Your lovely daughter is threatened by people who increasingly disrespect themselves. That is the problem.

My friend has a lovely daughter who wasn't doing to well in school. Her mother asked the school for some help meaning tutoring. They immediately pounced and declared her ADD and wanted to put her on drugs. My friend is white and his wife (they are divorced) is Latino. Together they spent the weekends with her on phonics and math. In a short while the girl became at the top of her class. However they still wanted to put her in special ed and on drugs. The school system threatened my friend.
Guns may kill a few but this school system is killing millions
