Well I hope the power does stay on. As a City-State within California we have to send mixed messages. As tax payers we are being hit by the same costs when the state pays the ridiculous rates. As citizens of LA we have already paid the price to be prepared for such a situation. Our strength is our weakness at the moment. I am not denying that if the state goes down this summer we may not go with it. But I believe our city administrators are doing their best to avoid that.

John, I do not deny that this situation is serious. The folly from Sacramento is quite embarrassing; but as with any other area of the country , we can quickly lose our appreciate the outside humor. <g>
