Actually, X summed up her existence on SI very trenchantly in a post she put up some time ago. She was accused of being mean. Her response:

" I am mean. I revel in meanness. If I couldn't be mean I wouldn't be here so often. "

Keeping this self-evaluation of hers clearly in the forefront of one's mind helps to understand her posts.
