Pete,

I also picked up a Alpha 6035 with a Delta 38CFM fan for it

Would that be small delta, or capital delta? ;-)

Pravin.

Tim, Re: I noticed the HP Pavilion Athlon 1.30 GHz DDR system on a Sum's Club Brochure mailed to me this week.

Very good news! I wonder why nobody posted it yet (or didn't I see it?)? Now we have to major OEMs backing up DDR and AMD760. This bodes well for the future of the technology.

I just got my Thunderbird 1.2G/266 "C". It is a AXIA0107???? CPU.

Congratulations, then you can probably overclock it to >1.40 GHz with good cooling. Since the Alpha Pal 6035 is very effective, you shouldn't have much problems. Maybe you could report your finding to the thread?

Andreas

Pete,

I just bought a new system for myself and another for the office. For my system I got:

Asus A7M266 mobo
1.33 GHz Tbird
Swiftnet copper heatsink
128 MB of PC-2100 DDR Hyunday from Mushkin
Antec SX-830 case
Enermax silent power supply EG-365P-VE (FC) (to
Matrox 450 graphics card
MSFT Intellimouse explorer
Maxtor Diamondmax+ 60 HD
DVD
Zip

The whole thing for $1,350

The one for the office is also based on A7M266 and 1.33 GHz, but a desktop case minus some components for $1,000.

Hopefully, in about a week, I will be posting from a new computer.

Joe
