Yes PW, it helped a lot. And lucky for me that you didn't find your previous dissertation on the subject, as I was able to read both of your replies after bosque dog found the old one.

After reading your answer, I'm speculating that any gains dual cpus show in benchmark tests, probably remain theoretical. I think I'll concentrate on the single CPU.

I use a single CPU laptop.

Hmmm. I thought it was this thread where someone recently posted that they used a dual processor system with 512 ram. Worked out well that I thought it was you. (:-)
