The right of the people to bear arms in support of a well regulated militia. Does that make it clearer? Maybe it would if the amendment actually said that but it does not. What it does say is fairly clear IMO. The only active clause in the amendment refers to a right of the people. The other clause doesn't say anything about "this right is only for the militia", or "this right only pertains to militia members." Tim
