AMD is looking good, and Jim Seymour's article does a nice job of outlining the positives. IDTI looks interesting. but have we really seen the turn for networking and telco equipment??? who knows. (IDT), incorporated in 1980 and reincorporated in 1987, designs, develops, manufactures and markets a broad range of high-performance semiconductor products and modules. Applications for IDT's products include data networking and telecommunications equipment, such as routers, hubs, switches, cellular base stations and other devices; storage area networks (SANs); other networked peripherals and servers, and personal computers. The Company operates in two business segments: Communications and High-Performance Logic and SRAMs/Other. Check out TLGD is another lower PE stock, 13 on a trailing basis after today, and I have the forward PE of 10. RW Baird upgraded them after doing a business check, but still many of these local exchange carriers are cash poor. It is interesting to ponder. 10:19 ET Tollgrade Comm (TLGD) 27 1/2 +5 3/16 (+23.2%): Gapped up at the open after being upgraded by Robert W. Baird to STRONG BUY from MKT OUTPERFORM. Basis for the upgrade is the extreme low valuation of the shares despite a revision in estimates reflecting the current telecom environment. Checks with several key TLGD customers confirm continuing moving forward of Internet-access initiatives. -------- Tollgrade Communications is a provider of service assurance solutions to the telecommunications industry. Tollgrade's focus is helping local exchange carriers deliver the high quality of service through enhanced testability.
