Le Metropole Members,

Midas du Metropole has served commentary
The James Joyce Table entitled,
"Swiss give Bank for International Settlements the Hook."

[start.]

"The central bank didn't name any of the....."

"... would be around 10,000 tonnes, according to Frank."

... gives us a worldwide total of 40,000 tonnes of gold derivatives
and we get closer to the point of this.....

Le Metropole Cafe
All the best, Bill Murphy

[end.]

And now not the gnn rumor, but aWondering as there has been
lots of facts and figures from Bob Johnson's gold sheet site
about hard physical golden numbers about the gold, but i now
wonder if the 40,000 tonnes of gold derivatives mentioned above
is also part of what Bob in-capsulates into his web site so that
we all can obtain latest most accurate Supply & Demand numbers
to monitor the price of gold?

If one looks at Bob's name for his web site one will notice that
the name has the word "sheet" in it with a tone for a paper sheet
rather than a physical sheet or bar of gold.

So Bob does us not with paper gold stuff and if so he does not believe
or think these 40,000 tonnes of gold derivatives matter or have any
place in the real world?

Seems to me that Bob would highlight the paper gold with special attention
to that created only as mathmatical models that may soon have symptoms
of a bad cold or flue and sneez hutch-chew.

Now the GNN Rumor.

X prez Jimmy Carter has already set into concrete his place in history
as both a good person and helpful person to others. It did cause me
to puke many of lunches to hear him support XXX prez ClinSin,
but i undestood that he needed to support his Dem Party. ok, but now
that the Rep's are in, Jimmy Carter will of course continue his good work
to help the people on planet Earth needing help the most, and as we
all assumed he will be very welcomed in the bush white house.

ok, so i heard that Carter has had a meeting with the bush administration
with an agenda specific to Africa in general and South Africa in partictular
to make the picture of past ClinSin's policies especially in the areas
outlined by GATA that caused hurt and suffering there.

Sure would be a great way for the bush administration to identify
the harm and criminal activities of the ClinSin admin through the
words of smeone like Carter who "does not lie."

Doug: Since you wish to quote my drivel from Dutch CB and put it up here, I would appreciate it if you would please quote my complete posting:

"Goldbugs have always had, and promoted, the idea that if the general market is bad, then that's good for gold. Maybe so in 1929. But today, jewellery is far and away the biggest use for gold and to buy that one likes to feel rich --- not poor!

That means there's a bigger demand for gold when the markets are running than when they are tanking. But, try to tell that to a goldbug who is steeped in gloom, doom and conspiracy and who seriously believes his day will come when everyone else is in crap."

So, and strange as it may be, there are those who look to gold as an investment --- quite apart from its political or blackmail agenda. Not everyone who buys gold, gold shares or gold articles is a goldbug. And, not everyone who buys gold, gold shares or gold articles looks to Uncle Bill or GATA as the agency which will enrich the value of their purchase.

Some people are still prepared to take their chances in the market and rely on their own judgement to make their profit. They don't need "big daddy", law suits, the ANC nor the illustrious president of SA (who to date has done sweet F.A for anyone, except himself) to do it for them.
