Do you generate your own power? Operate your own phone system? Purify your own water? Treat your own sewage? It's not a democracy/communism question. It's a question of what gets the job done. Lots of people are disillusioned with the PC experiment. They've (even small businesses who are extremely cost conscious) subcontracted the provision of PC's out as a first step to escape the need for self administration and maintenance. That's the giant leap. The rest of the way to buying compute power as a utility is baby steps. JMHO. Charles Tutt (TM)
