Dear Nikita, you say >>>When more resources will go into energy saving devices and solar energy(on the roof top) Electric energy consumption will fall dramatically and so is the price.

I suspect you have no technical background and hve never looked into the economics of solar energy. Solar energy will only be cheap when the cost of electricity or a BTU of gas or oil increases in prices 3 or four times over current prices. As the retarded seem to insist upon price controls Solar energy will never be cheap and folks will live in rolling darkness.

Nikita:

"You are right about pain but wrong about permanently high energy prices"

Yes, I agree I made a misstatement. I should have said high for a time. There will be ups and downs, but of course as the price goes higher, energy consumption will go down due to conservation exactly as happened in the last crisis. I remember you could buy Cadillacs at a discount and Honda Civics were at a premium. More capacity will come on line as the result of higher prices and prices will eventually drop.

I'm not sure I follow the line of reasoning, in regards to the Democratic leadership. Energy saving devices, renewable energy sources (such as solar) are being promoted mostly by the Democrats. Bush, on the other hand, proposes cutting research for renewable energy sources, in his budget proposal. He is strictly an oil man, and doesn't see any other solution.

If you like solar and other renewable energy sources, tell Mr Bush not to cut research in this area.
