Tua KOs Nicholson in 6

IBF #5 heavyweight David Tua overcame a sluggish start to drop #3 Danell Nicholson with a left hook late in round five, then finished the job with another hook at :34 of round six in Las Vegas. Nicholson had used his reach to effectively keep Tua at bay until the Tuaman's power won out. The fight was an IBF heavyweight elimination bout.

Oquendo pummels Etienne!

Earlier In a battle of undefeated heavyweights, 6-1 underdog Fres Oquendo (now 20-0) dropped Clifford Etienne seven times en route to a stunning eighth round stoppage. Oquendo cracked Etienne with right hands to the upper head dropping the "Black Rhino" to his knees three times in the first round and five times over the first three rounds. Etienne rallied in rounds four and five. But, Oquendo came on again to drop Etienne again in rounds seven and eight. Referee Jay Nady stopped it at 1:37 of round eight.

I'm still in shock over this Etienne fight.
