sipc does not and has never paid out a dime! to call this insurance is fraud imho.

if FDIC can only attempt to return $100,000, where's the SIPC gonna get it from? I've always thought the joke was that the SIPC insures the cost of printing new stock certificates, or $500,000 cash, whichever is less -g- This does allow them to make the claim.
