Here is his bio.
Willard Harvey Wattenburg, fondly known as "Dr. Bill" to his devoted audience of backyard inventors and kitchen scientists, is sometimes called the world's smartest man. He is a world-renowned scientist and inventor, a successful businessman, and a best-selling author when he's not doing his successful weekend program on KGO. On his program, he uses his unbelievably vast scientific knowledge to share with his audience simple solutions to complex problems. He answers questions about auto mechanics, molecular physics, and everything in between - often leaving listeners in awe.

Throughout his life, Bill always had a way with science. He earned his doctorate in electrical engineering, and then went on to teach at Berkeley before founding several successful high-tech companies. Over the course of his career, Dr. Bill has done extensive research for the government. He was instrumental in designing the guidance computers for NASA's Apollo moon missions. He continues to be active in the scientific community and often receives much media attention for his clever, and useful, inventions. Among his many inventions is a robot mine sweeper that was utilized during Desert Storm, as well as a temporary kit that restored a Fresno bridge that was washed away during a flood. Dr. Bill is a handy man to have around; no wonder Bay Area listeners tune in.
