Jim, The "grass roots" stuff scares me. That's where the real economy lies. The concern his bank has is commerial building loans. They are still OK on residential. We are at the apex, could go up, could go down. I'm dissapointed with the FOMC, they seem to be limiting liquidity, playing chicken with a very significant recession. The system should be flush with cash right now, and folks are begging for pennies. As a supporter of the FOMC, I'm starting to have second thoughts. Either we are much better off that I can see, or the folks that control the money spigot have decided a recession is in our best interests. John
