Yes that chart looks scary- and indeed this market may take many years to hit new highs. That said- Three rate cuts and 8 consecutive down weeks both suggest a bullish outlook for the next 12 months.

Unless things start to fall apart e.g. the 1930's, I am staying away from the short side from here out. I may miss a spectacular bottoming process- but hey, I missed out on the spectacular topping process on the long side... and I don't regret it in the least bit. <g>
