crisp is an engineer, not an attorney...was never a senior executive. He was an appropriate attendee at JEDEC, but what he knew about patent law, Rambus' goals for its products designs, etc. is not critical. He was there to do a certain job from an engineer's perspective, which he did.

I am sure every company has excellent mid-level managers who can't describe the company's legal position regarding IP, marketing, design, etc.

Much ado about nothing. I agree with Zeev. The testimony I read shows a mid-level guy doing his job, not hiding anything and saying honestly...I'm not an attorney...I thought x, not y.

So what?
