Pravin:

I'm beginning to think that AMD Dresden processors have become the consumer's first choice...and it won't be long before Austin processors become the consumer's first choice...It's a pity that AMD is currently production constrained out of Dresden, and, I'd guess, soon to be production constrained out of Austin owing to the high quality image spillover from Dresden...It's a pity that Dresden capacity in Y2001 is around 20 million units and Austin somewhere around the same...

The consumer has just discovered AMD product...Demand for AMD product is just now entering the accelerating phase on the marketing curve..I suspect that we AMD longs "ain't seen nothin' yet"!!! (P3 is on its last legs and P4 can't seem to get out of the box...AMD can sell every Dresden unit it produces for the foreseeable future...fabulous niche that 1 gig to 1.33 gig niche...zero competition!!!)

Pravin,

Not a bad machine. I don't know if you noticed, but it has DDR. Here is the spec: shopping.hp.com

It is using PC-1600 DDR (which HP calls 1600 MHz).
