Joel: I take it the author of that longwaves post thinks we are going to get some serious INFLATION soon, (or did i misread him?) And he says:"If inflation and rates are rising, one can do good by cutting them when recession looms. The flip side of that coin is that when rates are declining it means one has no room as a policy maker/politician to improve matters." But indeed, AG is cutting with inflation rising, is he not? I say he "succeeds" in inflating but it scares us into recession.
