In fact, I'm quite comfortable NOT getting involved in all the labeling, defining, controlling, blaming and shaming which seems to make up 99% of what mankind understands to be religion. For if this is what's involved, mankind needs to FREE himself from religion as we have bastardized it. There's just too much separation, judging and negativity involved. This is NOT what Christ came to be part of. It's what he came to overthrow. And, bottom line, he succeeded. It's over!! And so did all the others who came before and after him to boldly, yet humbly, proclaim the same truth and be an example for the same light, energy and LOVE from the same ONE source. I believe every single individual on this board possesses the same ONE truth. And I believe every single individual on this board should be celebrated, served and supported for all the incredibly beautiful simple, timeless ways in which we are ALL connected to this ONE simple truth. There is so much to appreciate and celebrate in this universe. There is no disconnect. There is no separation. We are ALL brothers and sisters. We are ALL children. And we all possess an incredible power to forgive, help, serve and love one another with ZERO/NO limits. You can fit Christ's message on the back of a napkin. Perhaps that's why he didn't write a thing down. He was a massive ball of energy, light and love. Whether one believes he was A or THE core figure among dozens of key manifestations of similar energy should be immaterial. The point is that these records - touchstones - are out there. And all of us can and will receive just enough of what we are capable of receiving and understanding so that we may continue along the path of helping, risking, caring and serving others. Everything boils down to this: which way is theenergy flowing?? Is it flowing into you? Or is it flowing from you? Are we still taking, defining, labeling, controlling others? If so, there's a high likelihood that we are still trapped in the paradigm of being a "consumer of energy." If the energy is flowing from you, then there's nothing to define, label, limit and control as part of taking and consuming energ. For when we truly - unconditionally - give and share ourselves with others it's simply for the joy of giving and sharing. When we give, it doesn't matter who the target is. It could be someone who others "define" as evil and corrupt. And if so, then so beit. As a real giver we don't discriminate. We treat everyone as equals. Those who are repelled by the unconditional energy and love behind this approach will naturally default off and perhaps connect on another day. The greatest gift we can give ourselves is the greatest gift we can give away to others: ourselves. Simply "being" ONE with oneself. At peace. Full of joy. Happy, etc. Very simple. But forget about assigning judgment on what this means. For if the gift is truly unconditional then you will feel it in some small way. And, like the sun, when something is "free" - ie. unconditional - it's as beautiful as the energy of an innocent child. We simply celebrate this "beingness." Period. There's nothing more. There's nothing less. For this child is already connected - more closely than most adults - to this ONE energy source. We just need to "see" and understand what this means, but not from a judgment, definition and labelling standpoint. Just from our heart and soul. I agree with Salon and most others on this thread: God should be replaced if it's a God that's distant and separate from us. I don't think there's an individual on this thread who hasn't felt the energy and love of what would consider to be "a force" of some type behind this universe. The keys to how we discover and celebrate this ONE force are many and unique to every individual. And that's what makes life - and the light, energy and love which supports us - such an exciting blessing. The more we look at the world from the perspective of how interconnected everything is to each other the more we begin to understand that this is a universe make of of this magnificent reality of light, energy and love that has no beginning or end - NO LIMITS. Everything is ENERGY. Everything is LOVE. Everything is a form of LIGHT. The only point of differentiation is DIRECTION. In what direction is the energy flowing? Are we giving or are we taking/consuming? Are we embracing/believing in limits or are we embracing/believing in NO LIMITS. If we have just a very tiny amount of simple faith that we actually live in a universe where there are NO LIMITS then we are knocking on the door to get to understand that part of ourselves which is unlimited and spiritual in nature. We can chose, at any time, to knock and get to know that side of our nature which either knows/believes in limits or NO LIMITS. I happen to believe in NO LIMITS. And I leave it up to the universe to teach me - naturally/organically - what this means from a spirit, logic and reason basis. This may make ZERO sense to others. And that's fine. For I'm not trying to convince others from a perspective that seeks to define, label, limit, control and consume energy. I have learned a lot from these discussions. And I don't expect to get anyting back. for I am simply sharing, freely and unconditinally. Perhaps River would be a better word to follow "Chris." Peace. Light! ONE!! GO!! Christ
