I hear that there are a lot of expatriate Americans living in Costa Rica.
This is definitely true. The place is crawling with gringoes. In San Jose (the capital) there is a large English-only bookstore.

Also heard that they have some strange laws about squatters on Real Estate. Apparantly
if you leave your property unattended squatters can move in and you can't get them out. Do you know if this is
true.
