That isn't entirely true in Canada.

If you are a daytrader...I mean a real daytrader...flip in flip out, close all positions by day end..

Revenue Canada can and has ruled that those are not capital gains or losses, but Income...

That has some real ramifications for income tax...

Too many to cover in a post on SI...

and believe me...I have had this discussion with Revenue Canada...
