A short note to agree on your view of the CBOE data:

I take all of this with a grain of salt, though. Since I trade front month options, fluctuations in the IV (internal volatility)of the option are important, as of course, is the general feel of the market.

Precisely. One of the most important for me is the put/call ratio and how the major indices are being traded. The key words are "feel of the markets" it is a mere guide and everyone should make their own conclusion.

On re-reading this, I guess what I'm trying to say is that I'm loath to get too specific in public, for fear that I'll cause someone else to get whipsawed.

Indeed, I see the objective of posting information such as the CBOE data is for information purposes and then it is up to the indivdual investor/speculator to interprete as best as one can and use one's own interpretation of the data. Safer for everyone involved.

We seem to view the market in similar ways, even then I am sure our particular trades will vary a lot.

Poet, I might recommend the ITWO '03 $10 calls.

I bought some Friday.

The premium is very low, imho.
