Rambus, Infineon duel in court here

BY MCGREGOR MCCANCE - TIMES-DISPATCH STAFF WRITER - Mar 25, 2001

...Rambus supporter Tom M. Coleman II, a Dallas financial consultant who has followed the case closely, said the late-breaking Siemens documents "obviously show some wrongdoing on Infineon's part."

"Rambus has been made out to look like the enemy in this case because Micron, Infineon and Hyundai's spin machines are much more powerful than Rambus's," he said.

But Coleman suggested the most telling sign can be found in other DRAM manufacturers' decision to settle with Rambus rather than go to court.

"Each of these companies is larger than Rambus and could certainly and would certainly have at least gone to court if any of their attorneys thought they could win," he said.
