I was unfortunately in the hospital a few weeks back (nothing serious), and shared a room with an elderly gentleman. I overheard him say to one of the nurses that he had been in Korea. I latter asked him about it; he was with the 1st Marine at Chosin Resevior. If you are familiar at all with the Korean War, you can only imagine the hell he went through; said he lost a lot of buddies there when the Chinese surrounded our guys. All I could do was thank him for his service; I can't begin to imagine the horrors and pains he saw and carried with him.
