What someone does with the swing charts will depend on their trading preference for timeframes.

Some quick examples:

- A long term investor might hold positions until a lower swing low than the previous is set;

- If the chart indicates an uptrend on the daily is in place, a position trader (long only) might exit longs and trail buy stops above down bars on the retracement.

- An intraday trader may choose to trade only in the direction of the swing on the daily. In the example you referenced, TXN is still in an upswing. So, the intraday trader might only trade long.

$34.39 is where a DownSwing would be triggered, but if you are looking to go short, an alternative is Friday's low, which would be where I would pick to enter.
