Mike,

Congratulations! I don't think I have seen anyone jump back on his feet so quickly.

I refrained from commenting on the whole situation, because it had almost surreal feel, and I was not sure if the whole thing was really serious. I have to say that I agree with what Amy posted, that the whole situation could have been handled better (both sides). Although clearly you were the star of the old Register, there were some other good writers added over time, who contributed good stories as well, so your continued association with Register would have made it possible to make it into a leading online technology sites.

I wish you good luck in your new venture. Unfortunately, you will have to spend some time away from writing and research, doing management things such as attracting advertisers and additional writers, in order for the readership to switch from the old register to The Inquirer.

Joe

Pretty impressive comeback.

I liked the Analysis on Via a lot because I like to keep current on what Intel's competitors are doing, and your online publication is effective for this.

Also, the titles are witty.

And I like the jokes a lot. (Even if they poke fun at Intel once in awhile.)

Appreciate your independent thinking, even if I may not always agree with it, I respect it.

Best regards,
Amy J

Mike,

I'm proposing a boycott of the Register.

You were the only writer there who has stuck to the "Biting the hand that feeds it" creedo.

I like your new site!

Scumbria

Mike, nice to see you back to your anti-Intel, tabloid journalistic ways. <G>

In any case, good health to you always.
