I find your argument more along the lines of "this is the way it worked in the bull market". In Particular, these parts:

AS with MSFT the revenues are not the issue but the Earnings.
Qcom must be valued on Earnings not revenues.

This is a great mantra from sell-side analysts, applied to almost any worthless trash stock imaginable. They lifted the phrase from bank robbers, who often tell their victims to lay on the floor and count to 500 before getting up, or they will be shot.

The purpose, in both cases, is to allow the robber to get out the door and be long gone by the time you finish waiting.

Funny that people think it is sage advice when analysts tell them to do the same thing that armed felons do.

Then again, maybe it isn't.
