Kevin, we are of the same ilk. I came from a very poor family and worked very hard all my life "but have never forgotten the roots" or the wise teaching of my parents. I also have learned that much of an individuals success is determined by luck. Politically, I have been all over mostly liberal, now moreso than ever. I have been very lucky, I think in consideration of where I started. Thus I support the idea of Government helping the little guy get "lucky". If only those who believe they deserve it all knew how lucky they are, maybe they would be more willing to share.
