No, not easy. The 1973-1974 bear market was not easy on any stock investor.

As far as inflation, we'll just have to see. If the CPI gets on the wrong side of 4%, then this cyclical bear market (6-18 month average duration) could turn into a secular bear market (10-15 years duration). That would be a shame, because it's avoidable.

I hate to point out the obvious, and I agree with you that the Fed is pumping over time....but the very large increase in M3 has a lot to do with people selling stocks and funds and putting the proceeds in money market accounts, this is where people and funds store their cash.
