TRADER Xx:

Nice post! I am (like you) continually amused by the people who PRETEND they understand the situation and that everybody else is out to lunch.

There's room for everybody's opinion--long or short in
viewpoint, but those arrogant people who have nothing to offer but their own disdain disqualify themselves from serious consideration.

Best wishes,
Jim

Hi TraderXx,

Re: The bottom line is that you, along with other investors have no clue whats going to happen with this technology. To try and post messages explaining your confidence in shorting stocks like AVNX is really kind of naive and amateurish.

I'll grant you that my post last night was rather flippant. However, to call it naive and amateurish has made me decide to revive for your benefit a couple of posts that you may be unfamiliar with. Ones that in hindsight don't seem amateurish, naive or lacking in predictive value:

Message 14787142

Message 13508510

Frankly, I couldn't care less about your opinion of me. But I do have to disagree with you about my ability to predict, not in the trader's sense, but rather in the investor's sense, of the general drift of stock prices. This company is going to be fine in three to five years. But it very likely will trade in the single digits before the end of summer. FYI, I've never shorted this stock, nor do I like to engage in bashing companies for the sake of moving the share price. I'll leave that to the likes of Anthony@Pacific. My point last April, last November and today is that anyone who has a LTB&H propensity, as I do, is bound to suffer from more disappointments in the entire FO sector for at least the next 3 quarters. There are too many players, too few clear winners and a dearth of sales to accommodate this grossly over-capitalized sector.

Keep on laughing. It's good medicine. :)

Best, Ray

Perhaps this represents the entrance of unsophisticated bears into the market, which may be a sign of irrational bearish exuberance?

I think so.
