Without defending SLR, it is reasonable to point out that they acquired manufacturing sites from Ericssons telecommunications infrastructure equipment operations and Nortel's manufacturing sites last year. Layoffs would not be unusual under the circumstances.

Again, I am not defending SLR in any way, and don't like that their customer base is mostly based on the telecom companies that are hurting the most. Ericsson and Cisco here? No thanks.

I think the ECM's are going to give CSCO the shaft next time around. From what I can see, CSCO treated all their suppliers like crap. GM learned that lesson many years back. It's going to be CSCO's turn to learn good business practices soon.
