decreased seasonality of its business.

I believe you are making a giant leap of logic to arrive at that conclusion. During late '99 and early '00, we had heavy buying of PC's. Late last year, many people just did not need a 1 Ghz system when their PIII 600 was doing the job fine. That, coupled with a greater fear on the part of consumers once layoffs started happening, was enough to put a damper on PC sales. I am sure that there are many other factors I am overlooking but these seem to be the main two in my mind. As for decreased seasonality, we have heard this many time before, yet seasonality has always been part of the PC sector. I do not believe that is going to change anytime soon.
