Arguing that CSCO somehow misled people by using pooling is simply an excuse for a failure to undertake DD.

I noticed this thread had a lot of criticism of the Barron's articles about Cisco (such as the "Wanna Buy a Bridge?" article). I don't hear those complaints anymore. Nuff said!

<<Arguing that CSCO somehow misled people by using pooling is simply an excuse for a failure to undertake DD.>>

... that was not the thrust of my note ... as I have never owned CSCO, and 'pooling' is a significant reason for my lack of ownership ... nor would I expect a shareholders lawsuit because of 'pooling' ...

... the point I was trying to make, (and perhaps not articulated very clearly) is that CSCO's 'pooling' in the past has a chance to bite the company and its shareholders in the ass big-time, because it created largely inflated earnings that the company will not be able to replicate ... and I do not think that the possibility of more damage to the stock because of past 'pooling' is as yet discounted in the present price ...
