P4's claim to fame is bandwidth. Of course they won't release a SDRAM version.

Looking at the IDF Spring 2001 roadmap, (with some interpretation), I expect in Q1'02 Intel's desktop segmentation will be:

Performance: P4/DRDRAM
Mainstream: P4/DDR
Low End: PIII Tualatin/SDRAM

Value: PIII/Celeron/SDRAM

I expect P4/DDR in 2H this year. I doubt they're working on an SDRAM chipset at all. They may also be forced to move PIIIT into the value segment next year.
