I don't know much about recent incarnations of SPEC, but my understanding is that they benefit heavily from DRAM bandwidth.

Of course, that begs the question, is that legitimate? Are there programs on the horizon which will be more bandwidth intensive, especially in the "primarily integer" space? If so, then the P4 will look better in the long term because nothing comes close to its memory bandwidth...
