Unfortunately I can't provide you with any hard data. THE REGISTER recently (I think it was one month ago or so) quoted an AMD executive claiming that AMD now has 65% of consumer market share in Great Britain. The following quote is from the CREDIT SUISSE FIRST BOSTON CORPORATION report, which has been posted today by Albert Kovalyov: "More specifically, AMD and Via were both very prominent throughout the show. We expected they would be as both continue to gain share in the European clone-centric consumer markets." Evidently, online computer hardware vendors are not representative for the consumer market as a whole. They are only representative for the small minority of very well informed people. Nevertheless, such an INCREDIBLE shift from one producer to another as it is actually taking place in the CPU sector might have a broader long-term significance. It indicates that AMD's reputation is building up big time. And this is a good long-term basis for AMD to enter other, even more lucrative markets. Just my 2 cents. Peter
