The HOLDRs seem to be popular across the board with respect to volume. The ishares can be quite illiquid, depending on the index. The latest ishares came out last week. IGM represents the Goldman Sachs Technology Composite Index (^GTC). The MTK represents the Morgan Stanley High Tech 35 and seems pretty thin as does the IGM thus far. There are a series of ishares on the Dow Jones sector indexes, and may have something with retail as well.

I was hoping that Profunds had come out with their ETF by now. They would have 1.5 times the beta of SPX and Nasdaq 100. There was something on it at etfzone.com.
