"Japan is not exporting much proprietary technology." Bill, this just gets more absurd. You seem completely unaware of the global economy. The Japanese have invested very, very heavily in developing and acquiring proprietary technology for everything they do -- patents. They are more focused on process technologies, little things like how you make displays for laptops and a million other electronic things. When you buy anything electronic, anything Bill, chances are very high that the product is built using lots of proprietary Japanese technology. Almost everything coming out of Asia has proprietary Japanese technology. Look Bill, its great to hear you talking about your days as a boy and how Japan built ships and fished and built little toys and five dollar radios, but you don't seem to have even the slightest idea of what happened over the last 25 years. Honestly, not trying to pick a fight, but you really don't seem to know the first thing about this.
