While visiting England, George Bush is invited to tea with the Queen. He asks
her what her leadership philosophy is. She says that it is to surround herself
with intelligent people. He asks how she knows if they're intelligent.

"I do so by asking them the right questions," says the Queen."Allow me to
demonstrate."

She phones Tony Blair and says, "Mr. Prime Minister. Please answer this
question: Your mother has a child, and your father has a child, and this child is
not your brother or sister. Who is it?"

Tony Blair responds ,"It's me, ma'am."

"Correct. Thank you and good-bye, sir," says the Queen. She hangs up and
says, "Did you get that, Mr. Bush?"

"Yes ma'am. Thanks a lot. I'll definitely be using that!"

Upon returning to Washington, he decides he'd better put the Chairman of the
Senate Foreign Relations Committee to the test. He summons Jesse Helms
to the White House and says, "Senator Helms, I wonder if you can answer a
question for me."

"Why, of course, sir. What's on your mind?"

"Uhh, your mother has a child, and your father has a child, and this child is not
your brother or your sister. Who is it?"

Helms hems and haws and finally asks, "Can I think about it and get back to
you?"

Bush agrees, and Helms leaves. He immediately calls a meeting of other
senior Republican senators, and they puzzle over the question for several
hours, but nobody can come up with an answer. Finally, in desperation, Helms
calls Colin Powell at the State Department and explains his problem.

"Now lookee here, son, your mother has a child, and your father has a child,
and this child is not your brother or your sister. Who is it?"

Powell answers immediately, "It's me, of course, you dumb cracker."

Much relieved, Helms rushes back to the White House and exclaims, "I know
the answer, sir! I know who it is! It's Colin Powell!"

And Bush replies in disgust, "Wrong, you dumb shit, it's Tony Blair!"

Subject 50755 - [currently in the header here]

ido.v - yes i like it here, added some recently ... next run to 2.00-2.40? ... one thing that Claude said on ido was that the property "had been drilled before", and that's technically true, but it was back during the war and they were looking for chrome not PGEs ... and they didn't have modern geophysic magic boxes either - Crebs apparently really liked the magnetics after flying the reef part there ... i'll be holding a fair bit of this one right through drilling season, don't often do that

suf.to - i'm out completely ... doh ... felt so brilliant there for a bit while it was coming off, don't feel so smart now ... i'll be back in, but carefully ... i'm inclined to meditate on the political risk there [especially when i'm out, lol], so much in RSA which is not on a healthy trend toward Truth and Justice

pfn.v - they'll have to shut down the drilling for breakup, but they can use the time in analysis for sure ... i don't see what will stimulate the shareprice for a while though ... maybe an Amplats decision to drill more, yes

qbx.v - new high on up.to, uph.v edging up but still at a low percentage of NAV - and the only two trades today on qbx were two tiny bid-whacks ... amazing

phs.v - Red, i just asked a friend to look into the science of it, he should get some time this week ... later, guys, cheers

russet,

Here are some of my thoughts on the recent SUF news release:

The additional properties contributed by De Beers and Steppon will extend the strike length of the Klipspringer fissure system more than four kilometres to a total of 7.5 kilometres. Some of these properties also have good potential for alluvial diamonds derived from Marsfontein's M1 pipe. These additional resources will accelerate the development and potential expansion of the Klipspringer fissure mine, which is scheduled to reach full production of 150,000 carats per year by the second quarter of 2003.

As you may recall from some of my earlier posts, I have speculated on potential for alluvial diamonds in the gravel apron around the M1 pipe. The M1 produced over 1.7 million carats in about 18 months(at $US100/carat that is an incredible US$170 million in only 18 months!!!). At least 500 meters(and maybe as much as 700 meters) of the M1 pipe has been eroded and the diamonds therefrom are in the gravel apron around the pipe and downstream. Considering pipe geometry and the 1.7 million carats recovered from the M1 deposit, there should be at least 3 times that amount of diamond occurring in the gravel apron and alluvials downstream. Supergene enrichment suggests the gravel grades could easily exceed the M1 grades. If this is so, with the bridge financing that SUF has for Messina, then by the end of the second quarter, SUF could have sufficient cash flow to arrange a line of credit to finance the balance of Messina without any further dilution. The cash flow increase would also allow for accelerated exploration and development in other areas SUF is exploring in.

teevee-looooooong SUF:-))

ido.v - 'Idaho finalizes drilling plans on Stillwater complex'

Idaho Consolidated Metals Corp IDO
Shares issued 29,294,399 2001-04-02 close $1.3
Tuesday Apr 3 2001 News Release
Mr. Bob Chancey reports
Idaho Consolidated Metals has finalized the scope of its initial 2001 drilling
program on its Stillwater complex properties in Montana. The Stillwater complex
is a large Archean-layered mafic-ultramafic intrusion which hosts the richest
platinum group metals (PGM) deposit in the world. The numerous drill targets
previously identified by ICMC were prioritized based on the recommendations of
ICMC's in-house and external technical consultants.
The first phase of the drilling program, which is expected to commence in the
spring of 2001, will consist of a minimum of 4,000 metres of diamond drilling in
the Fishtail and Iron Mountain/Crescent Creek areas.
The Fishtail Creek target is a 3.5-kilometre segment of the JM reef adjacent to
Stillwater Mining Corporation's (SMC) claim holdings. The JM reef is a laterally
continuous mineralized layer with grades in excess of 20 grams per tonne PGE
over one to three metres. Within SMC's claims the JM reef is known to contain
reserves and resources of approximately 60 million ounces.
The Iron Mountain/Crescent Creek targets include: 1) the potential apex of a
3.5-kilometre segment of the JM reef; 2) 9.5 kilometres of the volatile enriched
zone (VEZ); and 3) PGE-enriched chromite layers.
The VEZ zone is a conductive, stratabound horizon, with a total strike length of 19
kilometres based on geophysical interpretation. The VEZ zone lies stratigraphically
300 metres below the JM reef and is known to contain elevated PGE values (up
to 40 g/t Au in grab samples). The stratigraphic height of the VEZ zone in the
Stillwater complex is comparable with that of the UG2 reef in the Bushveldt
complex of South Africa, the latter horizon containing the world's largest deposit
of PGM minerals in the world.
The chromite layers to be drill tested in the Crescent Creek area are the basal A
and B chromites. Both horizons are stratabound and contain anomalous to ore
grade PGE contents. Previous ICMC samples from the A and B chromites have
returned values of up to 90 g/t PGE over 1.0 metre.
Along with the drilling, the company plans to conduct extensive geophysical,
geochemical and geologic follow-up work over selected portions of the JM reef,
VEZ, A and B chromites, basal massive sulphides, and the Picket Pin horizon.
The basal massive sulphides contain large tonnages of Ni-Cu mineralization with
potential byproduct PGEs while the Picket Pin horizon is a PGE dominant deposit
with grades lower than those of the JM reef.
WARNING: The company relies upon litigation protection for "forward-looking"
statements.

I added some more ido again last week .... you could maybe have won Al's contest with this one, should have gotten a pick in ... but you're same like me, real life captures you in springtime, eh .... cheers
