KG4 - I have always been curious about RHAT. Linux, of course, is free. Also there is a enormous support community of Linux people ready to answer any questions you may have.

IBM has decided to make Linux a major item for them. They have support services. Others will follow (CPQ, DELL, etc).

So where does Red Hat plan to make all its money?
I assume most has to come from support, right?

One other item is that both Apple and Microsoft will have all current OS products on Unix by the end of this year. This might further degrade the Linux market.
