The left is very effective. I fear them more because they are more successful. That's interesting. I had said that the left had become effete. It seems to me that things were moving very left in the 60s and 70s but that the left has been losing steam for some time now. What leftie ideas do you think are gaining traction right now? The only thing I can think of is opening up health insurance to domestic partners. The rest of the agenda seems to me to be waning in support. What do you think is being advanced effectively by the left? Karen
