So much detail about nothing!
Retail sales up because of Tax Refunds, the american consumer is out of money! This was expected it was written on the wall. But the real question is Sales are B*** S*** it the margin that counts, as you well know it possible to increase sales, and end up with a reduced margin...It's called whoreing the market up. The Same thing that happend with the Computer Idiots. Spending make the world go round, especially the american consumer, after the tax refunds are spent, the only last hope is a Tax Cut, then the end of the rope the neck snaps, and you just twist in the wind! Happy spending.

IKE the WMT play is a good one...when the econ slows and goes negative they will do better than most retailers in these rough times ahead. My macro theory here IKE is that the tech crushing IS going to snow ball into all other sectors. It will take time. Consumer Conf. numbers are way up today obviously these people have not seen their 401Ks performance these past few months. This number today tells us no more phat rate cuts in the near future...not exactly bullish, infact a major negative for those looking for lower FED rates anytime soon. I suspect the market will selloff on this news today

BKX ...a close below the last 10 hours lows would be not so good on my charts and would point to a test of 750ish.

SOX either bounces at it's current levels of NOW or fails and tests 560 or lower. Right now it is bouncing after the open, though holders of VTSS and others might not be so bullish today <GG>
