Mazz/all, so then why did they do it? They want everyone broke to not resist alienation of our unalienable rights? Wasn't one of those rights that our currency was constitutionally required to be backed by gold or silver so the politicians couldn't do what they've done? Well I guess re-educating the public after 8 years of the Clinton administration will take more than a couple months. I for one wouldn't mind seeing a campaign of educational public service announcements on our public air waves. We'll see if the Bush guys are just as bogus or want to do something about enforcing the constitution. I was encouraged to see a front page article the other day about Jump$tart, a national coalition trying to introduce personal financial literacy to schools. If they start today, those youngsters might have us returned to the gold standard when they're politically active in 20 years or so...

And I don't think we're buying the "people did this to themselves" excuse. Not when Clinton was happy to play Abby and trot around the stock market floor whenever they needed to squeeze those evil free-market loving shorts ;-)
