Hi Vi,

The turn down in the economy is not a long term scenario.

It is an inventory correction. To the extent that good business management trimmed orders the length of the sell down will be minimized.

In my world, car inventories are now in need of replentishment. Some dealers who were a sleep at the switch are still somewhat buried. Those dealers who watch it closer are now ordering strong for the model closeout - which will result in a stronger durable goods Q2.

People are placing so much weight on Chamber's comments about inventories at Cisco. If one looks at all the acquisitions they've made to fuel their phenominal growth - Is it any wonder they are having inventory level problem.

Sounds contrary to all the spin about Cisco put out there for years - I think Cisco's big inventory are company specific and the result of gung ho new leaders trying to fulfill a corporate growth Mantra that didn't know prudence regarding inventory management.JMHO

It ain't that bad will be the next revelation. Everyone is still working and buying.

Bob
