I agree, but apparently it was a Mayweather strategy to
brush off Gattis blows.

For a brief second in the last or next to last round, the
Diva was doing it without throwing a punch for a minute or
two, I thought perhaps he was hurt and was protecting himself, but we now know better.

Definitely a Mayweather family defensive style. Floyd's brother "Black Mamba" Roger Mayweather had a similar defensive style. Come to think of it, so does "Pretty Boy" Floyd Mayweather Jr. A distant cousin to "The Old Mongoose" Archie Moore's style of defense.
