Don, wrt three white soldiers, there should be overlap between each successive body, so I would definately agree that gapping would disqualify the formation. The strength of the three white soldiers is formed because there is disbelief that prices can move higher (thus there is overlap between the bodies of the soldiers), yet prices do continue to move higher. I believe the gapping action that we are seeing occurs from shorts covering quickly. This is a different mind set than prices climbing higher. This action is basically fear of profit loss. Whereas the three white soldiers is induced by healthy demand.
