BPA is trying to kick the Al producers off so they can rape you harder and faster -- market prices for electrical energy went ape starting 3 years ago -- consumers have been "shielded" from this. It's real -- but it is not "cost-based" in that the prices charged are really a
so-called "insurance premium." You have to f*ck them hard enough when you can so that you can withstand the possibility of being f*cked if you have a plant go down ... it isn't unlike the market in other commodities.

Regulation really has not been too bad for electrical energy prices (looking back 10 - 20 years from say 1997) --

you want free markets? This is a natural result ... if the move to free markets fail ... not impossible, IMO -- we won't get back to where we were. IF this slows things down in other states, it will be a good thing. We are positioned well -- it makes no difference to me -- just depends on what the public wants as a whole.

Re: "...about as pale as can be... " - Yeah, I can attest to that. Chalk has more color than Skeets. He is one pale, skinny white boy. <g>

And he's whining because suddenly his power subsidy has not kept pace with the actual cost of the product. It's a natural reaction, even if it is wrong.

Getting as much as you can for your product? That's as American as apple pie, baseball, and school gunfire. Don't like the cost of the product? Do without.
