There was no problem selling them on the screwdriver market, at least in this area there were waiting lists. On integer code, they lived up to their PR billing and were a lot cheaper than the Pentium equivalents.

I don't think it was IBM's intention to "screw" Cyrix, but it did seem like they exhibited a lack of good faith. Also, I seem to remember that IBM mysteriously ended up with one speed grade higher parts.
