To each his own regarding opinions on who should be able to marry, but kind of funny/sad that it is not viewed as strange to view one member of each sex constitituting a marriage being a "restriction". In one of your earlier posts it almost seemed like you were saying marriage between a man and a woman is some conspiracy of the religious right wing. "Why don't you think that gay couples having kids is a good idea?" There are lots of reasons. As you know kids are picked on frequently. No matter how noble YOU think it is for gay people to marry and adopt children, the kid will get teased on a daily basis. I also think that a child will do best with a male and female role model. 2 moms or 2 dads does not cut it imo. Because there are not many "natural" ways to make love, and its (sex) main purpose in a gay relationship is physical pleasure as opposed to "making babies" I would think it would make sex education a bit more confusing for the little tyke. And yes, it could improve the chances of the child trying something that is not entirely clean and healthy (as viewed by some) that does not truly reflect who they are, but what their parents are. You do know that people smoke, drink, cuss, argue, etc. based on the examples the parents provide. Can you see the potential harm to a kid who enters into a gay lifestyle because the people he/she idolize more than anyone else on earth do it only to realize he/she is not gay? Maybe that would just be a normal part of "growing up" for you, but to me it seems possible that it could lead to internal termoil.
