The problem with getting "both" video and still frame in one box is that the still frame resolution is never going to be more than around 800x600. Video cameras, even the nice sony DV ones, simply don't have a CCD that has much in the way of resolution- because it isnt needed for low-res television output.

My preference is to get both capabilities in one box. Any views on this? My photography skills and knowledge are nil.

Continuing weakness in the networking infrastructure market has led networking giant Cisco Systems to halt component ordering, particularly impacting two programmable logic suppliers, according to an analyst at Thomas Weisel Partners LLC.

“We believe Cisco has stopped ordering components altogether while orders from other key customers including Nortel, Lucent, and EMC are likely severely diminished as well,” said TWP analyst Eric Ross, San Francisco. ..."
